Carrie is a pioneer in innovation ecosystems. A believer that business can and should be a force for good, Carrie has always used her leadership roles to advance gender equality, environmental sustainability, and individual betterness. As an entrepreneur and previous intrapreneur, Carrie has championed these issues on a global stage, while also initiating and leading grassroots efforts. She’s pushed the theory of complex collaboration between governments, businesses, and communities throughout her career to effect change.

Carrie is the Managing Partner and Co-CEO of SecondMuse, a global company focused on building economies of the future. SecondMuse works on developing ecosystems that strengthen the innovation community by working at the intersection of social issues, like diversity, connectivity and adaptability, and markets, policy, culture, and more.

Over the last decade, SecondMuse has built 48 thriving innovation communities from Brooklyn to Bali, accelerated over 200 businesses and generated $7bb in market value. 

In her role, Carrie is responsible for the overall performance of the B Corp Certified company with offices in New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Portland, Melbourne, Singapore and Bali, and 300 clients and partners, including Fortune 100 companies, national and local governments, multilateral organizations and nonprofits. 

Prior to joining SecondMuse, Carrie spent 15 years at Intel in various management positions, her last role as Director of Sustainable Business Innovation. There, she pioneered strategies around a corporate impact investing fund and developing technology market solutions related to natural resources management and climate change. In 2009, Carrie formed the corporate sustainability group and directed corporate-wide efforts working with key stakeholders to ensure industry leadership. Carrie has had numerous advisory and board positions that span the for-profit, non-profit, public and philanthropic sectors. She regularly speaks globally on the roles of technology, sustainability, gender equality, innovation, and corporate responsibility.  Awards: B Corp Best for the World Changemaker Award 2019; Telly Award 2017; IPAA Public Sector Innovation Award 2017 ; Core 77 Design Award 2016; Tibbetts  Award 2015; Nike Maxim Award.
